Copyright Notices and How They Are Handled

How a rights holder reaches us, what a notice must contain to be actionable, and the timeline we work to.

Our position

VISNOVAA acts on valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and its equivalents, removing or disabling access to material identified as infringing. We would far rather receive a notice and deal with it than watch a question escalate, and nothing on this page is designed to make that harder than it needs to be.

Reaching the designated agent

Notices should be sent through the contact form, marking the message "DMCA notice", or on WhatsApp at +212 663 813 479. Anything arriving by that route is read by a person rather than filed by a system.

What a notice must contain

Identification of the copyrighted work said to be infringed.

Identification of the material complained of, with enough detail for us to locate it.

Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.

A statement that you hold a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.

A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for them.

Your signature, physical or electronic.

Timelines

Valid notices are acknowledged inside two working days and acted upon within five. A notice missing any element above is returned with a note saying which, rather than quietly dropped.

Contesting a removal

Where material you supplied was removed and you consider that mistaken, send a counter-notice by the same route with the same identifying details plus a statement under penalty of perjury. It will be considered on its merits.
