Getting it running
Install it
Android TV and Google TV carry it in the Play Store. On a Firestick it must be sideloaded with Downloader, exactly as the Firestick guide describes. For Apple, Samsung or LG there is no version at all, so use IPTV Smarters on that hardware and do not pay for anything claiming to be TiViMate there.
Add a playlist
Open it, choose Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login. Enter the server address, username and password from your message and press Next. It will not ask for an M3U link and does not need one — if you find yourself hunting for a playlist file, you have taken a wrong turn.
Name it and let it load
Give the playlist a name you will recognise if you ever add a second. It then downloads channels and guide data, and asks which categories to include. That choice is changeable later, so do not agonise over it now — but do answer it rather than accepting everything, because a trimmed list is the difference between using this and avoiding it.
Spend ten minutes on the channel groups
TiViMate rewards curation more than any other player here. Hide every category you will not open, put your regulars in a favourites group, and set that group as the default. A list of thousands becomes a list of forty. This is the step that decides whether the television is still pleasant in three months, and it is the one everybody skips.
Set the guide refresh
Under Settings, TV guide, set the refresh interval to every twelve hours. The guide source travels with the Xtream login, so unlike some players there is no separate EPG address to paste anywhere. This is the setting people most often miss and then report the guide as unreliable.
Optionally activate Premium
Premium is bought through the separate TiViMate Companion app on a phone rather than inside TiViMate on the television, which trips up very nearly everybody. It runs about $9.99 a year, or a one-off lifetime licence in the mid-thirties, with a seven-day trial. It unlocks recording, multi-view and multiple playlists.
Then use it for a fortnight and count
Every subscription you currently pay for stays running throughout. What you are measuring is not whether TiViMate is a good application — it is — but which of the apps already on this device you stop opening once the live channels and the guide are there. That number is the only one that decides anything.
When something misbehaves
The playlist could not be loaded
Check the server address carries its port and that the plan is still active. Then retype the password by hand rather than pasting, because text copied out of a chat window regularly brings an invisible space with it that nothing on screen will show you.
The guide shows no information
Force a refresh from Settings, TV guide, Update now, then restart the app. A first load across a very large channel list can also simply need longer than people give it — several minutes is normal and is not a fault.
Premium will not activate on the television
Because it is not bought there. Install TiViMate Companion on an Android phone, purchase inside that, and the licence appears on the television against the same Google account. This catches out more people than every other TiViMate question combined.
Recording stops partway through
Usually storage on the device rather than the stream. A Firestick has very little free space, so record to an attached USB drive or to network storage. Check the recording path under Settings before blaming a channel that was probably fine.
Multi-view stutters on a Firestick
Two streams decoded at once is more than a stick's processor comfortably manages, particularly at 4K. Drop both windows to HD, or accept that multi-view genuinely wants a Shield or a Formuler. It is not a fault in the streams, and it is the clearest case on this site of hardware being the limit.

Does VISNOVAA work with TiViMate?
Yes, natively. Accounts are issued as standard Xtream Codes logins, which is exactly what TiViMate expects, so the guide, catch-up and on-demand sections populate without extra configuration. Add it under Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login.
Is it worth paying for on top of the subscription?
If you watch live sport, the guide alone earns the ten dollars within a month. If you mostly watch on demand, it probably does not, and Smarters will serve you perfectly well for nothing. The trial exists precisely so you need not guess.
Why is there no Apple or Samsung version?
Because TiViMate is an Android application and those platforms are not Android. It is not a licensing dispute and there is no build coming. Anything on an Apple or Samsung store using a name resembling TiViMate is a different product trading on the confusion.
Does TiViMate work with any provider?
Yes — it is a player, and it holds no content of its own. Any Xtream login or M3U playlist works in it, which is worth knowing because it means the app is not tied to us. If you ever change supplier, the app and everything you configured in it stay exactly as they are.
Is Premium worth it if I only watch on demand?
Probably not. What Premium buys is recording, multi-view and multiple playlists, all of which matter for live sport and none of which matter much for a catalogue. The seven-day trial is there precisely so you can answer this for your own household rather than taking anybody's word for it.
What makes the guide worth switching players for?
It shows what is on now and next across every channel in a grid you can move around while something keeps playing in a corner, which is how live television was always meant to be navigated. A basic player gives you a list of channel names and nothing else, so finding a fixture means knowing in advance where it is. After a fortnight of that, most people who watch sport pay the ten dollars without much deliberation.
